Fabulous First Grade! The First Grade is off to a great start in February! We began the month with Catholic Schools Week! Our service project for CSW found us on a field trip to St. Ann's Community. We had a wonderful time playing games with the residents. The children were very helpful fetching balls for our St. Ann's friends and helping them toss rubber rings on cones. We even played a parachute game together too. Everyone got a lot of exercise and had a great time. We are looking forward to our second trip and a visit with out St. Ann's friends on Wednesday, February 15th! Catholic Schools Week was full of exciting activities at St. John Neumann School. The week began with a school-wide prayer and Tuesday's "Basketball Frenzy". On Wednesday, we took a trip to St. Ann's Community to spend time with some of the residents in the morning and we played board games with our buddies in the afternoon. We joined the rest of our school community at mass on Thursday morning followed by an "Open House" back at school. We could hardly wait for Friday when we could wear our newly painted "SJN tee-shirts" and go bowling at Empire Lanes just down the road. It was the best Catholic Schools Week ever!!! We are very excited as we look ahead to our upcoming celebrations of "100 Days of School", Valentine's Day, and our next class mass on Tuesday, February 28th at 9:15 A.M.!
