Spring is upon us! For our classroom, spring begins by celebrating St. Patrick's Day! We had many visits from Lila the Leprechaun during the first two weeks of March. Then on the night before St. Patrick's Day, she visited our classroom and played with our toys and left the room covered in green footprints. She then left a treasure of "gold" for us to find. Our teacher made green eggs and ham for us after we read Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss. They were delicious. During the rest of March, we have been working on the theme of Nutrition and learning about the 5 food groups and the importance of exercise. It is fun learning about and trying new foods. Finally during this month, we have been learning about Lent and getting ready to celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus on Easter. Our 4 year old class will lead the prayer service for the entire school on March 26 with help from our 6th grade buddies. On Wednesday March 31st, we will have a visit from the Wegman's ZooMobile. It has truely been a wonderful month so far.
