Physical Education is a learning process that focuses on increasing knowledge, affecting attitudes and behaviors relative to physical activities including exercise, sports, games, dance, and outdoor/indoor adventure activities. Physical education is an important component of the overall school program; it is an integral part of the total educational program that contributes primarily through physical activity experiences to the growth and development of all students.

 

Physical fitness is the body’s ability to carry out daily tasks easily and to have enough energy reserve to respond to unexpected stress.

 

Fitness Components include:

 

1-FLEXIBILITY: refers to range of movement of the joints.

 

2-MUSCULAR STRENGTH: refers to the greatest amount of work your muscles can do at a given time.

 

3-MUSCULAR ENDURANCE: refers to how well a group of muscles can keep performing over a period of time without causing undue fatigue.

 

4-CARDIOVASUCLAR ENDURANCE: refers to the ability of the heart and lungs to deliver needed oxygen to the body during exercise, without causing undue stress, and then return to resting rate.
