All first grade JFK students participate in the Accelerated Reader (AR) program. Kindergarten students are selected by their teachers to participate in the AR program.
Students are encouraged to read their books six times and then take the AR quiz in their classroom or the library. Once a student earns three good grades (80, 90, 100), they move up a level.
