HOMEWORK

You may do homework any night of the week and turn it in at any time before the given deadlines (5 by interims, another 5 by end of quarter).  I will not assign specific assignments each night but will remind you to keep up with homework. You will decide when to do homework and which assignments you will do.  You will receive credit for assignments that:

          1.  are complete

          2. follow all directions below AND in the specific assignment choices. READ CAREFULLY!

 - on all homework choices EXCEPT #6,

• write the ASSIGNMENT NUMBER on the assignment

• write the CURRENT VOCABULARY GROUP used for the assignment (ex.: 1-4)

each writing assignment preceded by a * must be AT LEAST 50 (Gr.7)/100 (Gr.9) words long.  Please write a CONTINUING WORD COUNT at the end of each line.

          3. show reasonable neatness and effort

          4. use current vocabulary items

HOMEWORK CHOICES

*1. Write out in Spanish the most recent story we acted out in class in your own words (use each vocabulary item at least twice and underline them).

*2. Write out in Spanish an original story using the most recent vocabulary items we are working on (use each one at least twice and underline them).

*3. Write a sequel (what happens next) in Spanish to the most recent story we acted out or read in class.  Write the number of the story you are continuing on the paper.

4. Rewrite in Spanish the most recent story we read, but change AS MANY details as possible. (Not enough details changed may result in no credit).  Write the number of the story you are changing in the heading.

5. Draw out the story (at least 6 frames) we most recently acted out or read in class and then tell the story in Spanish to a parent using your drawings as a guide.  Have your parent sign the drawings saying that you told the story to him/her in Spanish.  Write the story number on your paper.

6. Read the most recent written story in ENGLISH to a parent and have him/her write a brief synopsis or comment on the story and sign it.

7. Write the most recent written story in English (no typing).  Include the story number.

8. Draw the most recent written story in storyboard format (at least 6 frames) and write at least two good Spanish sentences in your own words under each frame you draw.  Include the number of the story.

*9. Write the most recent written story in Spanish, changing the point of view, or changing it to the past.  Write the number of the story you are changing.

*10. Write a story using 5 vocab. items from our most recent song.  Underline the vocabulary items in the story and write the name of the song in the heading.
