Saint Florian, Patron Saint of FireFighters

Florian von Lorch- Saint Florian is the Protector of those in Danger of Fire, and Flood - Pray to him for Abundant Harvest and for Success in All Adventures - He's the Patron of Brewers, and Soap Makers. Feast Day ~ May 4. In this icon Florian is pictured with a guardian angel. Legend has it that Florian, General in the Roman Army, saved an entire village from flames by dousing it with a single bucket of water. Florian refused to denounce his Christian faith. In 304, the Romans tied a millstone around his neck, and drowned him in the River Enns, Austria. An eagle watched guard over Florian's body until he was found by a woman, and given a Christian burial.

Health Classes

Grade 6 boys will have Health class March 16th with Mr. Komorowski.  The girls will be with Mrs. Fessner and Ms. Rothfuss.

Note to Parents:  Please be sure that your children come to school prepared for physical education.  It is school policy that students grades 1-6 change for class and it is part of their physical education grade.  Thank you for your cooperation!

Important Safety Notice:  Jewelry is not to be worn to physical education class (posted earrings are acceptable).  This presents a danger to not only those children wearing the jewelry, but to those around them as well!  Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

All sneakers should have laces that are tied or velcro.  Slip on sneakers pose an extreme danger to students who can easily slip out of their sneakers, causing falls by the student wearing the sneakers and/or others around them while performing activities in class.  Aqua shoes and Crocs will not be permitted in any physical education classes.
