Classroom Behavior Management Classroom Behavior Management

In my classroom we use a behavior chart.  Each child starts the day out on green, if they break a classroom rule (see rules listed below) they will have to "flip their card" from green to yellow.  If there are any other infractions during the day, they will continue to flip their card with the consequences increasing in severity.  Consequences included a note home, a phone call home, a visit to see Dr. Stark and a detention.

This behavior plan is seperate from the discipline plan outlined in our school handbook.

Classroom rules:

1. Treat each other with respect

2. Listen during instruction time

3. Come to class prepared

4. Follow the teacher's directions
