Mrs. Forwark’s Promise to You!

As your art teacher, I promise to create

an enthusiastic and engaging learning environment;

One that enables creative thinking and

self-expression to flow!

I will respect and nurture your unique individuality

and I will remember you by name!  I will get to

know what your special needs might be.

By creating your own art and by exposing you to

other people’s works of art, I hope to inspire in you

 a sincere appreciation for art.

Because of my own passion for art ~ and my love for

young childrens' creative ideas ~ I promise

to “draw” out in each and everyone of you

 the wonderful artist within

The artist that you already are!!!

About Mrs. Forwark:

It takes a special kind of person to teach art to children ranging in age
from five to eleven years old.  Mrs. Forwark personifies that special
quality (and stamina!) needed to teach the joy and appreciation of art!
Mrs. Forwark has been teaching at Curtsinger for over fifteen years now.
During this time, her students have achieved much acclaim in the many areas
of visual arts.  Over the years, Curtsinger has had several student artworks
selected by the Texas Art Education Association for the prestigious honors
of being displayed at our state’s capitol as well as at TASA/TASB State Conventions.
Mrs. Forwark has built a very strong art program and it shows through in the
beautiful art displays that grace Curtsinger’s walls everyday.
She also keeps her students creatively involved in community art projects
provided through our wonderful city arts organizations ad programs.

Mrs. Forwark serves as our school district's Elementary Youth Art Month
Art Show coordinator.  She is the lead elementary art contact for FISD
and likes organizing many of the art contest opportunities for the district.
She is also involved with the FEF Annucal Chili Challenge fundraiser and proudly boasts
of Curtsinger's well earned and well supported "Three-Peat" Trophies!
She has also served on both the Blue Ribbon Writing Committee and the Parent
Involvement Committee and is proud to say that Curtsinger was awarded both of those
prestigious honors in 2005 and 2007 respectively.  Mrs. Forwark also received
the honorary Texas PTA Life Membership from the Frisco Council of PTAs in 2008.

Above all, Mrs. Forwark is most proud of her busy family of five.  Her husband,
Randy, is her biggest fan and supporter.  The center of their world is their three
children.  Jenny, a Frisco High School graduate and a graduate of THE University
of Texas in Austin, is now teaching special education English at Heritage High School!
(Hook 'Em Horns & Go Coyotes!)  Ryan and Sarah (twins) graduated from Frisco
Centennial
High School
(Go Titans!)and are pursuing accounting and teaching at Collin College!
