Science Extra Credit due by January 5th

In the News……..

DUE: Each 9wks no later than the last day of the 9 weeks.

***Limit- No more than two articles per student per 9 weeks***

In the News…….is an opportunity to receive an extra credit grade for the nine weeks.

1.    Find an article in the newspaper at home or in the Curtsinger library, Dallas Morning News, or CNN website about science that you can answer the following questions:

·       What branch of Science does the article focus on?

·       How does the article pertain to your life?

·       Write a 5-10 sentence summary of the article.

2.    On a sheet of notebook paper answer the above questions.  Be sure you are using complete sentences with correct capitalization, punctuation, and spelling.

3.    Cut out, copy, or print the article.  Be sure you leave the publication date at the top of the article!!!

4.    Be sure you have a full heading at the top of the notebook paper and staple it in the front of the article.

5.    Turn your article into your science teacher NO LATER THAN 1 WEEK  after the article was published.
