In the News……..

DUE: Each 9wks no later than the last day of the 9 weeks.

***Limit- No more than two articles per student per 9 weeks***

In the News…….is an opportunity to receive an extra credit grade for the nine weeks.

1.   Find an article in the newspaper or magazine at home about science.  Please include the following information:

·      Cover Sheet must include (student’s name, homeroom, date of the article and date submitted.

·      What branch of Science does the article focus on? (Listed are some examples…..Nature, Earth, Physical, Environmental, Microbiology etc………)

·      How does the article pertain to your life?

·      Write a 5-10 sentence summary of the article. 

·      Article must be typed 12fonts, and double spaced.

2.   Make sure you answer the above questions and follow the above requirements.  Be sure you are using complete sentences with correct capitalization, punctuation, and spelling.

3.   Cut out the article.  Be sure you leave the publication date at the top of the article!!!

4.   Be sure you have a cover sheet and staple it in the front of the article.

5.   Turn your article into your science teacher NO LATER THAN 2 months after the article was published.
