This month is guidance we discussed Friendship. We talked about helping our friends and the qualities we look for in friends. We also discussed respecting our friends and what we can do to show them respect. We talked about "Friendship Ringers and Friendship Zingers" in 2nd-5th grade. Ask your child to give you some examples. Finally we put a lot of emphasis on "It's not what you say, but how you say it". We also had a visit with Crazy George from the Texas Legends. He spent the day with us talking to the kids about staying drug free, not bullying and being a positive influence on others. He also stressed never giving up! He included many students in his presentation as well. It was a fun day! Ask your students to tell you about it. ***Attention Parents: DRUG TRENDS Bath Salts, K2, and Beyond Are parents' the Rx for Prevention? I’ve taught 2nd and 4th grade for 8 years and PE for 8 years. This is my third year as a counselor and I am looking forward to working with each of your children and families.
