Welcome to the Cedar Ridge Elementary Media Center. We want you to read to learn, read for pleasure, and read for life!
Hours
8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
We are open for students, staff and parents during these times. Parents are invited to browse and check out materials from our Parent Resource Room located in Media Center Conference Room A.
Borrowing Policies
Grades 2 through 5: Two books at a time for two weeks
Grades PreK, K, and 1: One book for one week
Kindergartners and First Graders earn the privilege of checking out two books at a time after they have shown responsibility for taking care of the books and bringing them back on time.
PreK students begin checking out books when their teacher feels they are ready for the responsibility.
Reference Materials: Media Center or classroom use only
Audio and Video Materials: Classroom use only
Students are responsible for their library books once they leave the media center with those books. We do charge fines for lost or damaged books.
Lost book: Cost of book plus $1.50 for processing (cataloging, labeling, etc.)
Lost magazine: $2.50
Damaged books:
Excessive Writing
Water damage
Missing labels
Torn pages
Excessive stains (food or dirt)
The media center has an open book browse policy . Students may come any time with their teacher’s permission to get books.
