This just in... Announcing the Interregional Parent & Student Workshop This is for parents of Special Education and 504 students who want information about services in college. The workshop will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at Teaneck High School. If you are interested in attending, get a registration form from the CPHS Guidance Office.
Columbia University is again offering its Summer High School Programs again. Students can study these per-college courses in one of three location: New York City; Barcelona, Spain; Middle East If you are interested, we have a few brochures in Guidance. KEEP THESE DATES OPEN!!! February 4, 2012--Mock ACT. Take this practice ACT just before the actual test. Revolution, our SAT prep provider, will host this event. There is a $5.00 test fee that goes directly to the Class of 2013. February 25, 2012--Mock SAT. Take this practice full SAT. This too is $5.00 and all the money will be donated to the Class of 2012 by Revolution. SAT PREP CLASS--Begins the March 17, 2012 in preparation for the MAY 5 SAT. THIS IS THE ONLY SAT CLASS AT C.P.H.S. THIS YEAR. Revolution gives need-based financial aid. Go to their website http://www.revolutionprep.com for details and to register or call 1-877-728-7737. SAT-- May 5, 2012. This will be the last administration of the school year at CPHS. Check at collegeboard.org if you need to take it sooner. ACT-- February 11, 2012. This is the second of two ACT administrations this year. The ACT is the "other" college admission test accepted by all colleges. We suggest you take both the ACT and SAT for your best chance of doing your absolute best. ========================================================================== Sign up for email notifications... Seniors: Have you applied to colleges yet?? If not, you'd better get started. Colleges are not going to wait for you, and you can be assured others have begun. If you HAVE applied and not told your counselor yet, do so right away. Besides having to send your transcripts and recommendations, we must keep government records about who applies where. Also, if you are accepted to any college or have decided to attend a college, we must know that infromation. Remember--COLLEGES DO NOT TELL US THAT YOU HAVE APPLIED. YOU MUST TELL US!
