Gradees 4 , 5, and 6 are working to further develop skills that will come into use on the New York State ELA assessment. Strategies for comprehension are practiced through daily reading, comprehension assignments, and practice in the Skillbridge practice text. Students are also taking practice tests, as part of regular ELA classes. Practice includes reading long passages and locating answers by underlining. Short answer and essay questions are also being practiced, as we respond to what we listen to and read.
