We are currently learning about Physical Science this month. We have been learning about Matter, Mass, Volume, Density, Physical and Chemical Changes. We have all enjoyed doing some experiments in the classroom in which we learned how to use a pan balance to find the mass of different objects, and a graduated cylinder to find the volume of irregularly shaped items. We will soon be traveling back in time in our Social Studies class to learn about the French and Indian War as well as the American Revolutionary War! This is a very exciting unit in Social Studies and one of my favorite units to teach! The fourth grade team is already busy planning our annual Colonial Day which will be held on May 25th this year. Students are encouraged to come to school in colonial costume. Students will be participating in colonial activities throughout the day. I will be looking for a parent volunteer for the day to help out with our colonial activities. More information about Colonial Day will be sent home as the date becomes closer.
