Course Description:  This half-year class will provide you with an introduction to some of the topics and principles of economics.  A few of the topics covered will be supply and demand, types of economic systems, advertising and marketing, the stock market, personal finances and investing, and taxes.

Materials Needed:  A binder for handouts, a notebook

*New York State requires that all seniors take both Government and Economics.  If you do not pass these classes, you will not graduate*

Grading: 

30% Tests

25% Quizzes

25% Projects

10% Class activities/Participation/Binder Checks

10% Home work

Projects:  This class will consist of 3 major projects.  One individual project involving the topics of advertising, marketing and supply and demand and two group projects.  One group project will center around the stock market and the other around taxes.
