While using the Ashley Library Catalog, you can browse for books, check your account, place holds and more. You can view your account using the HIP and see what you have checked out with due dates. - On the main HIP page, click the tab “My Account.”
- When prompted, enter your ID number (lunch number).
- You will see an account overview. Click “Checked Out” to see your items and their due dates.
- Click “Holds” to see what books you have on hold and where you are in line.
Use the HIP to place a hold, this means you are waiting in line to read a book that is checked out. - Learch for book you want to check out.
- Click “Request Item.” Do NOT click “Add to My List” - it won’t work.
- When prompted, enter your ID number "(lunch number).
- Click "Request" until the "Request Confirmation" screen appears. You do not need to enter comments.
- If you check your account, the book will now appear on the “Holds” screen. When the book is available the library will email your teacher.
A database is a collection of fact-checked information organized for effective searching. Visit your Ashley Library for our database username and password!

Kids Read
Go to Kids Reads to find lots of great ideas for what to read next, complete with trivia and author information too.
Storyline Online
Visit Storyline Online to watch videos of actors reading favorite books for kids.
Tumble Books
Visit Tumble Books for audio books and chapter books you can read online. Log-in to use the Tumble Reader to explore new books and try fun quizzes. See your teacher or librarian for the password.
