Welcome!

I am very excited to be teaching at Palmer this year and having you all in my classes. I am from the east coast, moved to Europe, and relocated to Colorado Springs. I have been teaching for almost 10 years and love it. My hobbies include painting, reading, outdoor activities, and cooking. Finally, I love meeting new people.

My website will be a crucial tool and resource that will be used and updated daily.

The links along the left and across the top of the page provide access to files, a place to turn in homework, and a calendar of assignments with directions for classes.  Students and parents in particular will be using this website regularly, so please get comfortable with navigating the website.

• Please feel free to contact me at any time.  My contact information is on the Contact Information section, which you can reach by clicking the link to the left.
• Grades are posted in Zangle (Parent and Student Connect). Grades are weighted in categories according to Formative and Summative scores in both reading and writing.
• The Calendar functions as a syllabus, with the day's agenda, assignments, handouts, and due dates. You will be able to access assignments, directions, and look for upcoming important dates.
• My Booklist has information about the different texts and books we will be using during the year.

My mission is to influence students toward thinking and responsibility.  My classes operate on a foundation of unconditional respect, with plenty of humor, freedom, challenge, and opportunity for success.
