Third grade enrichment students have created mental math problems. They invite you to solve the problems and post your answers on the class blog. #1. Take the number of days in a week. Multiply it with the number of days in one year. Multiply the answer by your first answer. (AL)
#2 Think of how many days in a week. Subtract how many ears you have. Add how many hands and feet you have. What's the answer? (NP)
#3 Take the number of days in a year. Subtract the number of donuts in a two dozen box. Add the number of inches of your head in height. What is the answer? (MC)
#4 Take the number of donuts in a 2 dozen box. Subtract the number of months in a year. Add your age. Add the number of the day on which you were born. (MC)
#5 Take the number of hours in a day. Subtract three. Double your answer. (GDC)
#6 Think of how many days in a year. Add the three digits together. Add the two digits together. Double that number. Add two. What number do you get? (KW)
#7 Start with the days in a year. Subtract the months in a year. Add the date of today. Add the days in April. What is the answer? (MR)
#8 Think of the number of letters in the alphabet. Add the number of days in a week. Then triple that number. (NH)
