I am proud to be your coach and I’m looking forward to a fun and successful year. I am confident in each of you as individuals, and in my ability to help you achieve the level of success you desire. Your involvement in Whitehouse “West Wing” Forensics carries with it many potential and measurable benefits. Not only will you improve your speaking and analytical abilities, learn more about current events, gain an understanding of literature, and increase your level of personal confidence, but you will also meet many new people, see new places, and have some fun in the process. There are additional benefits to joining Whitehouse "West Wing" Forensics as well. You will be able to practice and build your leadership skills, your decision-making abilities, and your self-discipline. And if you're interested, literally hundreds of colleges and universities award thousands of dollars in scholarships and talent grants each year to top speakers and debaters alike. Furthermore, if you like competition you've found it! Forensic contests provide just as much excitement as a close basketball or football game even if it may not appear that way on the outside. Finally, we'd like to remind you of some priorities that you should remember as part of our team . . . family, academics, and yourself. No matter what, these things are most important now and for the rest of your life. As your coach, I understand this. Whitehouse "West Wing" Forensics has a long and storied tradition of forensic excellence. As we learn and grow together, there would be nothing greater than to add 2012 State and National Trophies to our collection! We can accomplish this if we work at it.
