PTA Handbook PTA Handbook

What exactly does PTA do and how does it benefit your family?”

PTA is a national organization of parents, teachers, and others who support education. When you join PTA, you become part of that network that says we value education for all students. PTA has lobbyists in Washington supporting legislation that supports our schools. At the school level, joining PTA allows you to vote on decisions about how funds are raised and spent at our school. Although many of our fundraiser & events involve the need for volunteers to help them run smoothly,
being a
member of PTA does not need to be a time consuming chore. We welcome all that want to be involved, whether that be sharing your input & ideas at a meeting, volunteering to do a bit of paper work at home, shopping on your own time schedule, or signing up to sit/work for just an hour at one of our events. By becoming a member of PTA you have the opportunity to work with your child’s teachers and principal as well as other parents just like you, and experience first hand the positive impact that you can have on your child’s education and our school.

In an effort to reduce costs Varner PTA decided to print the Handbook inside your childs agenda.
