For the first three weeks of practice the team will be divided into two groups:
Sprinters (Events less than 800m):
The sprinting group will have practice Monday-Thursday from 4:15-5:30pm and also Saturday at 9am. Saturday practices will be spent mainly working on relays and block starts. Practices Monday through Thursday will involve a variety of workouts.
Distance (Events 800m or more):
The distance group will have practice Monday-Friday from 4:15-5:30pm and will have Saturdays off. Distance workouts will vary but Wednesday will typically be the recovery day for the week followed by an interval day on Thursday.
It is important for each group of athletes to be eating healthy and also bringing with them to practice something to keep them hydrated. Also be stretching at night on their own, so that each athlete is ready to go the next day.
