Pine Cove Outdoor Education
Pine Cove’s Outdoor Education program, also known as the Institute of Wilderness Studies (IWS), takes a hands-on approach to learning using discovery and surprise to make the Wilderness Studies experience an educational and memorable adventure! Through IWS, students are given the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in their surroundings. Our new falconry program, along with many other courses, will make your school’s field trip both enlightening and entertaining!

Pine Cove Dates to Remember:
September 15th-
Pine Cove Informational Meeting- 6PM in our school library
We will be sharing important information about camp and will answer any questions you may have about our trip. We will also be asking for parent chaperones to accompany us and will hand out paperwork for parents interested in chaperoning our trip. If you are considering chaperoning, please complete the on-line volunteer application, as it will be required for you to attend. (Bringing your child to this meeting is optional.)
September 23rd-
Pine Cove Chaperone Forms Due
If you are interested in being a chaperone, your name should be submitted by this date. ***Important***-You will also have had to complete the on-line volunteer application by this date to be considered to attend the field trip.
September 26th-
Pine Cove Chaperone Selection
If you turned in a chaperone form and have completed an on-line volunteer application and have been approved, your name will be placed in the lottery for Pine Cove chaperones. We will inform the parents selected after the lottery is over.
September 30th-
Pine Cove Forms and Money Due for Students and Chaperones
All forms and money are due on this date for your child (and chaperones) to attend camp.
October 6th-
Pine Cove Chaperone Meeting- 6PM in our school library
All selected chaperones will be meeting to go over procedures for camp.
October 11th-
Luggage bus
A bus will be in the front of the school to take the students, chaperones, and teachers luggage the day before we depart for camp. If you cannot come on this night, please have another parent drop off your child's luggage.
October 12th-14th
Pine Cove!
We will depart the morning of the 12th and will return on the afternoon of the 14th.
