 Summary:  Class Clown is a play about a boy named Clown who starts going to a new school.  He looks and acts like a clown and the students at his new school don't understand him.  To read the play click on "Class Clown" below.

 

 

Genre: Play

A play is a story that is acted out, usually on a stage or in a theater.

Story Skill:  Identify structural features of plays & explaining how they help the reader.

The features we will be focusing on are: cast list, narrator, setting, stage directions, dialogue, monologue, prologue, props, scenery, staging, lighting, sound effects, acts, scenes, and production notes.  To learn more about these features and how they are used in Class Clown click on the "Play Vocabulary Sheet" below.
