Lead 21 is our reading curriculum chosen by the Osceola School District for grades K-5.  Lead 21 is based on a whole group/small group daily participation plan. Whole group learning opportunities occur daily with the introduction of key focus points.  The students will then practice these key focus points during the week independently and in small groups while guided reading groups take place with teacher.  Independent/small group practice will include fluency, spelling, phonics, and phonemic awareness skills.

A weekly overview of the focused skills will be included on the weekly newsletter (Rosenbrook Review).

Lead 21 also cross teaches into our science and social studies curriculum with the addition of apporpriate topics and real photgraphs.

Skill areas that are highly recommended for weekly practice in preparation for assessments are:  Unit and Weekly Vocabulary Lists, Comprehension Skills, and Grammar.

Lead 21 also includes a website that allows students to practice unit skills and have access to stories and games.  Below is the website link.  Students will need username and password distributed by the teacher to access their account.
