I will be having each grade level creating a History Project. I am preparing the students for History Fair that is done in 8th grade. 6th grade - March Creating a Women's History Month Project. The students will be required to write a research paper and create a poster board telling the story through pictures. 7th grade - February Creating a Black History Month Project. The students will be required to write a research paper, create a poster board telling the story through pictures, and give a 2-minute speech. 8th grade - There will be NO formal Illinois History Fair Project this year do to my maternity leave. Illinois History Fair Project. This project is started as soon as school starts in August. The students choose a topic based on Illinois History. Our school History Fair is in November. Regional History Fair is located at Northern Illinois University. This fair usually takes place at the end of February or beginning of March. State History Fair is located in Springfield, Illinois. This fair usually takes place the first week of May.
