Overbrook School Cheerleading We are excited that your daughter is interested in participating in cheerleading during the 2012-2013 school year. The squad brings pep, spirit and fun to the Eagle basketball games, as well as striving for excellence in its own right in the DAC cheerleading competition. Overbrook competes in the DAC cheerleading competition held in October. In order to prepare for the competition within such a compressed time frame, it is necessary for all girls to attend practices. One girl's absence from practice means that her group stunt cannot practice, and routines which depend upon sequences may be adversely affected by absences as well. If your daughter is unable to attend a practice, it is necessary to let the coach know one week in advance. If she has 2 or more unexcused absences, her commitment to the squad will be discussed.
