Thank you parents,teachers and students for coming to the ES Art Exhibition! It was wonderful to see you share your art with family and friends. As a teacher it was so exciting to see all of the learning that we have done this year. I hope that you enjoyed the experience as much as I did.

Welcome to the 2011-2012 school year at ASB.
I am excited to see so many returning and new faces in our Art class. I hope that you have all had a great summer and are looking forward to the new school year!
My name is Jayshree Shah and I am affectionately called Miss ‘J’ by students. I am looking forward to having an exciting year of creating art and sharing fabulous learning experiences. Students come to the art class, twice every six-day cycle.
My goal as the art teacher at ASB is to bring out the artistic talent in every child. I hope to guide them to think like artists and explore the world around them through an artist's eyes. The Elementary Art Program at ASB offers the basic knowledge, vocabulary, skills and hands-on activities in drawing, design, painting, art history sculpture, and printmaking that encourage the students to develop an excellent foundation in art.
GREEN Effort –New mantra
We love our planet, and want to take care of it by causing less waste and being more responsible with our materials! This is a learning process; we will still have to break a lot of old habits. We will continue to work with recycled and reclaimed materials in a variety of ways. Can't wait to share our ideas and efforts with you!
