News from E-2:   

* TLC will be on Tuesday, February 9, 2010.

* February 11, 2010 is a Waiver Day for all Wheeler Elementary students.  

* Wheeler Elementary will be closed on the following Fridays due to furloughs:

    Feb. 12, Mar. 5, Mar. 12, Apr. 23, Apr. 30, May 7, May 14

* Our next scheduled library time will be on Friday, February 19, 2010.

Quarterly Projects:

Accelerated Reader (AR)- Students in E-2 are required to successfully accumulate 9 points per month in AR tests. Students must pass each AR test with a score of 80% or better in order for the 9 points to count. This is effective as of September 1, 2009.

KIDBIZ 3000 - Students are required to pass two KIDBIZ articles per week with a score of 75% or better on their first try. All fourth graders are encouraged to use KidBiz 3000 at home. KIDBIZ is a computer-based reading comprehension program which enables students to read non-fiction articles at their specific reading level. Upon reading the article, students answer comprehension questions based upon the article read. Click on the following link to access this program from home: http://web.kidbiz3000.com/.
