Course Goals ::

Welcome to Communication Applications!  Communication Applications is a required course for high school students in Texas. The goals of this class are to:

  • Develop good relationships with others
  • Develop potential as a speaker in various contexts
  • Develop independent research skills
  • Develop good self-concept
  • Develop listening skills
  • Develop life skills in communication

Areas that will be covered include: intrapersonal communication, interpersonal communication, small group communication, public speaking, job interviews, the mass media, and much more!!

  • Current Event Speech

3rd Six Weeks:
  • Persuasive Appeals Notes
  • Parliamentary Procedure Notes
  • Bill/Resolution/Constitutional Amendment
  • Authorship Speech
  • Persuasive Organization Pattern Notes
  • Visual Aid Dos/Don'ts Notes
  • Persuasive Speech
