PayForIt.net (PFI) is a Secure Online Payment system which simplifies payment, collection and balancing of funds for School Districts and their parent/guardian community. PFI is a proven, web-based portal system that is part of a suite of online school systems offered by QSP, LLC. QSP takes pride in their systems built on their overall philosophy of Quick, Simple and Practical. SUSD USD Child Development Programs Saugus Union School District is pleased to announce the release of PayForIt.net to help manage our Child Development Programs. Effective immediately, you can register and pay for the SUSD Child Development Programs using PFI. Payment can be made by Visa, Mastercard or Electronic Check (ACH). Our District is very excited to improve the coordination, management and communication of our programs for both our District and our Parent/Guardian community. Benefits of using PFI | Using PFI, the management process for our Child Development Programs is automated for both the parents and the school so errors are minimized and the information is readily available. | | Payments can be made by credit card or ACH-Electronic Check, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at the parents’ convenience. | | PFI supports increased communication between the school & the parents. School messages & account information messages are automatically emailed to parents. | | Student information is automatically transferred from year-to-year. | | Parents can manage more than one student account. | | PFI is PCI compliant and maintains industry standard SSL certificates. This ensures all data is safe & secure as defined by the online payment processing industry. | | A continuous online survey is provided to monitor parent feedback and ideas. | Cost Like all electronic payment processing options today, an Internet Convenience Fee is imposed. The District made this choice to move to PFI as the cost is far offset by the benefits PFI will offer to our District, our Parent/Guardian community, and ultimately our students. How to sign up for PayForIt.net Log on to www.PayForIt.net and select “Sign Up” from the menu. The screens will guide you through the process to establish your account: | The internet convenience fee is explained to you during your sign-up. You will be charged 4.25% per credit card transaction and $1.25 per ACH transaction | | You will be prompted to enter your contact data, password, payment information, etc. Once all information is entered, PFI will email a validation code for you to confirm the registration. | Once your sign-up is confirmed you can begin using PFI as often as you’d like! Tips using PFI Each time you log on, school messages are displayed on the Home Page. One of the first things you will need to do is indicate which student(s) to attach to your account. Instructions to do this are provided on the site and on the next page of this flyer. You can submit your opinions through the PFI survey, which is always available on the Homepage. As you are starting to use PFI, please visit the following areas on the website: | The “My Account” menu enables you to maintain your account information and set up your email preferences | | “FAQ” (within the Help Menu) – this information will provide insight to questions new users often have. | | The “How Do I” menu provides step-by-step guidance to main functions in PFI. | Getting Help This flyer should help get you started using the PFI application. If you have questions regarding our Child Development Program, please contact the District. Add your student(s) to your account Before you can register your student(s) for any Child Care Programs, your student(s) need to be attached to your account in PFI. You only need to do this once. Students are already loaded in the PFI system from the District, but you will need the Student Id Number for each student you want associated with your account. If you are unsure of your Student ID Number(s), please contact your school for this information. Select the Add Student screen (on the Add/View Student menu). Full step-by-step instructions to perform this function are available to you on the Add Student screen. Set your email options To set up email reminders when your payments are due, select My Email Options (on the My Account menu) in PayForIt.net. Select the “Upcoming Payment” option. Enter the “Days Notice” desired. This is the number of days before your payment date that the email reminder will be sent to you. Remember to click update to save your changes. Full step-by-step instructions to perform this function, as well as other email options available in PFI, are available to you on the My Email Options (on the My Account menu). How to register in the SUSD Child Development Programs | Select Child Care Sign-up (on the Child Care menu). The student(s) on your account are displayed. | | Select “Reserve Days”. | | Choose the student(s) you would like to update. | | Indicate which school(s), program(s) and dates you’d like to register for. | | Click next and the options available to you for the chosen student are displayed. | | Choose the program desired and click the Next button. | | Your transaction will be displayed to you. Any fees you have outstanding and due, will be included in your transaction. At this point, if you decide that you do not want to add the program(s) you are currently working on you can choose to delete the entry(s) from your transaction. If you delete the fee, however, your student will not be registered for the program. | How to view the Child Development Programs your student(s) are reserved for 1. Select View Programs (on the Child Care menu). Select your desired students and date range. The programs which students on your account are registered for will be displayed. Rule: You can delete the fees from the program(s) you are currently working with, but you cannot delete fees that have been previously applied to your account and are outstanding. Saugus Union offers a discount for multiple students. This is calculated for you by the PFI application when you are selecting your Child Care choices!
