Homework

There will be no more homework for the 2011-2012 school year.

Homework will consist of Spelling and Reading each night.

o   As we learn new skills, we may send home other assignments such as math, handwriting, science, etc.

·         Guided reading assignments should be completed each night as directed by your child teacher. Please ask your child if they have a "Baggie Book" reading assignment each night.

o   “Baggie Book” reading assignments may count as your child’s nightly reading time.

o   Students may choose a book of their choice to read if they don’t have or already completed their “Baggie Book” assignment.

·         Students should practice addition and subtraction facts regularly to build their math fact fluency.

***Please make sure to sign/initial nightly in your child’s planner that they read.

Ask your child’s teacher for clarification as to where in the planner they would like you sign/initial.
