Homework

First Grade Yearly Homework will be Monday through Thursday read and study spelling words nightly.  On Tuesday and Thursday a math sheet will come home to be completed and returned the following day.

Reading: Read with your child, have your child read to you from books that come home or books you have at home.

Spelling:  Pick an activity from the Castle Spell A Lot (related file below) to practice spelling nightly. Words will be sent home with your child on the first day of the week (pre-test).  You will also be able to find the weekly list by clicking on the correct 9 weeks.

Math:  Your child will be sent home with a worksheet on Tuesday and Thursday. Please have them complete it and return it the following day.

Fluency: Please use the powerpoints below to practice fluency with your child.  If you are unable to view powerpoints at home please contact your teacher for a list of the phrases.
