Parent Education Activities This is another part of my job that I really like because it gives a chance for parents to meet and learn more about various parenting topics. Riddle Elementary and Borchardt Elementary join together each year to provide parenting opportunities for our families. The workshops are split between the two campuses, but both groups of parents are invited to attend at either campus. I will also post other parenting workshops that will be taking place in the district that you may want to attend. All parent activities that are posted are open to all FISD parents. You may even want to bring a friend! February 2 - Mom's House, Dad's House: Making the Best of Both: This workshop is presented by Cynthia Garrison. It will be from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at the CTE. The program provides parents with the knowledge and skills to safely nurture their children during and after the divorce. See attached flyer. February 17 - Love and Logic: David Boles will present this great workshop on how to make parenting fun. This will be a Brown Bag Luncheon at Borchardt Elementary. It will be from 11:30-12:30. Please RSVP by February 15 to 469-633-2804. See attached flyer. February 20 - Child-Parent Relationship Training: This is a series of classes that meets every Monday for 10 weeks from 6:30-8:00 p.m. It is for parents with children the ages of 3-10 years of age. This is sponsored through Crossroads Counseling. Please see attached flyer for more information.
