Richard Brancato, 6th Grade Homeroom & Language Arts Teacher

Richard is a native of the Boston area and holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts at Boston and an MA in English from Bridgewater State University.  Richard began teaching at Lawrence Junior High in Falmouth, MA, where he was a student teacher and then a full-time Reading teacher.  Prior to joining the KSA faculty he taught Computers at Escuela de las Americas in El Tigre, Venezuela to elementary, middle, and high school students.  He holds CompTIA A+ computer certification as well as teaching licenses in Middle School Teaching Strategies and High School English.  Richard has attended workshops from both Facing History and Ourselves and Developmental Designs.  His teaching reflects the values and philosophies of both of these organizations.  Richard's poems have appeared in many magazines, including The Bridge, 96 Inc, and the Atlanta Review.
