Hello and Welcome! Angleton Christian School First Grade My name is Pam Waddell and I will be your child’s teacher this school year. I am so excited to begin my second year at Angleton Christian School. Before coming to ACS I taught in public school for 30 years in Columbia-Brazoria ISD. The majority of that time was devoted to first grade. I truly love children and delight in their enthusiasm to learn. . . so much so that I couldn’t stay away from it for very long! I am thankful that God has brought me to ACS and given me the peace of knowing this is His plan for me. Since I will be working closely with your child’s academic and spiritual education, I felt as a parent you would like to know more about me. I graduated and received my teaching degree from Southwest Texas State University, now known as Texas State. I have been married for 38 years to Ronnie Waddell, the State Farm agent in Brazoria. We are members of the First Baptist Church in Brazoria and taught Sunday School for many years in the Children's Department. This past year we took a leave from that responsibility due to illnesses with our parents. This year my main emphasis will be working with the students at ACS. On a personal note,we have two grown children that fill our hearts with much pride. Our son, Chris, graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York and served 2 tours of duty in Iraq. We are so blessed to have him HOME! He has been married for almost 2 years to Kimberly and we’re so excited that they are living in Pearland. It’s so much closer than New York and Iraq!! Chris is an engineer with AKZO Nobel and Kimberly teaches math at Dulles High School in Fort Bend ISD. Our daughter, Tori, graduated from Sam Houston State Universtiy and is a 2nd grade teacher in Clear Creek ISD. She has been married for 4 years to Chad Salyer, also a graduate of Sam Houston, who works in industrial sales in the Houston area. They live in Rosharon so we have all of our children living on this side of Houston! Now our dream is to someday become grandparents!! I’m really looking forward to meeting each of you and working with your child. I take very serious my responsibility for your child’s education and please know that I have always believed strongly in open communication between myself and the parents of my students. We will stay in close contact all year, but please feel free to contact me with any concerns you ever have so they can be resolved as quickly as possible. Sincerely, Pam Waddell
