Accelerated Reader Accelerated Reader

Pine View students now have immediate access to ALL 120,000+ AR reading practice quizzes and to all the new ones that will be written!

What is Accelerated Reader?

Accelerated Reader is a computerized reading incentive program.  The students may read books from the library, their classroom, or from home.  Each book is assigned a points value depending on the difficulty and length of the book. Once the student completes the book, he or she can take a comprehension quiz on the computer.  (Quizzes can only be taken at school.) Based on the percentage of correct answers, the student is awarded a number of points for each test completed.  These points are then accrued throughout the year.

Through Accelerated Reader, we encourage our students to read more so that they become better readers and lifelong readers.

To take an AR Test:

Go to AR Renaissance Place

Want to find out if a particular book has an AR test?

Go to AR Book Finder.
Use keycode MJ594188 to see which AR books are in Pine View's library.
Remember, if AR has a test for it, your child has access to that test at school.
You can search for book titles based on authors, topics, or titles of books. You can save titles to a book bag but once you log out, your information is lost. If you want to keep it, please print it out so you can reference it later.

Want to check your child's AR test results?

Go to Renaissance Home Connect and use your child's N# and PIN to logon. Here are some of the features you will have access to through the Renaissance Home Connect

    • My Overall Progress: Renaissance Home Connect gives parents and students a snapshot of the student’s Accelerated Reader progress, including average percent correct on quizzes, number of points earned, and ATOS book level.
    • My Bookshelf: Parents and students can see all the books the student has read. Clicking a book shows details about it such as book level, word count, points, and more.
    • Emails: Parents, if you'd like to receive emails showing your student's quiz or test results, click the Email Setup link in Renaissance Home Connect and follow the directions. To be sure these emails reach your inbox, add homeconnectautodelivery@renlearnrp.com to your address book.
