Here's an update on all things PTG related! Check back to this page frequently. -
March 10th : I hope everyone enjoyed the February vacation and getting back into the swing of things the next Parent Teacher Group meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 10th at 7pm in the school library. After cancelling the February meeting we have a lot to discuss and plan. We realize how hard it is to make meetings, with everyones chaotic schedules, so there are many ways to help! Just give Shelley a call & she will fill you in on upcoming events! The Parent Teacher Group tries to make the students experience at Isaac Paine as enrichening & as possible!
 - Family-Fun-Day: Over February vacation the PTG organized a Family-Fun-Day with Miss. S. Captain Isaac Paine flooded Town Hall Lanes with over 100 bowlers. We had a wonderful time and are looking forward to it again. Thank you Miss. S for coming to hang out!

Special Persons Day: The Parent Teacer Group is organizing a Special Person Day during the week of March 1st through Mach 5th. The deadline was posted to be Febuary 12th, however you can let us know at any time if you are going to be able to attend. You may not be able to purchase a hot lunch, due to not enough notice to give them a head count, but you can bring your own. The dates & times vary for each grade. For more information on this event please email me at shelley12@cox.net or call me at 647-3295. - Upcoming Fundraiser: Thank you for all the support with the Butter Braid & Cookie Dough fundraiser! With everyones support we raised $2236.00. This money will be used to purchase a special silicone paint for the playground to allow us to keep it open, treating it & preventing further splintering. The delivery of the goodies will be March 3, 2010. Pick up is set up to be from 2:30-7pm in the school cafeteria. We appreciate all the continued support for all we do for or children, the students and our school!! THANK YOU!!
- Girls Choice Event: The Parent Teacher Group will be sponsoring the Girls Choice Event on 2 dates this year. Trying to cut down on the chaos & for the girls and guest to have as much fun as possible we divided the grades in half. The first event will be Mach 19th at 6:30-8:30 for grades K-2. There will be face fainting,crafts, dancing & games. March 26th from 6:30-9pm will be the second event for grades 3-5. There will be games, dancing, karoke & more. If you have any questions or would like to help at either event, please call or email me.
- Spirit Week: PTG will be sponsoring Spirit Week March 5-9, during Spirit Week we will be incorporating the Building Blocks of the pyramid. When a student exhibits one of the Building Block he or she will be rewarded with a paw print. If the PTG collects 200 paw prints by the end of the week we will reward the entire school with an ice cream day!! The Spirit Week days are as follows: Monday~ School Colors Day & showing determination Tuesday~ Crazy Hair Day& show enthusiasm & hardwork Wednesday~ Go Green Day & show loyalty & friendship Thursday ~ PJ Day & show cooperation & self-control lastly Friday ~ Hawaiin Day have aterness & take action. During Spirit Week on March 16, we will be having an assembly on Appreciation for families deployed in the Military.
- A Year to date: We just wanted to give a quick overview on how & where the money is spent from all our fundraiser efforts. As of right now the total money spent on the children at Isaac Paine has been $4020.00. This includes K fieldtrip to Sunsett Orchards, grade 1 field trip to Pezza Farm, assemblies for the 5th grade for the snake lady, author L. Brennan, & a leadership & teamwork asssembly, as well as a assembly for grades 1-4 with Save the Bay. This total also includes an ice cream reward & materials for the playground including, mulch, stencils, stencil paints, & sandblasting. Thank you for enabling us to do so much for the kids......we have more to come too!!
