Welcome to Fun Weekly Spelling Practice for Your Student! Does your student look forward to studying for his or her weekly spelling test? Probably not. But once you try SpellingCity, you might just change your mind. SpellingCity is a fun online spelling program. Imagine your child playing spelling games online ending up with an A on the next spelling test! With games like HangMouse, Word Search, Unscramble, and WhichWord?, spelling practice might go from being your student’s least favorite activity to something he or she may do for fun! Even spelling test reviews are fun. We don’t expect you to memorize your spelling lists instantly. Instead, you can take an interactive quiz, hearing the words the way you do during real spelling tests. I encourage your student and you to utilize SpellingCity to help study the weekly class word lists. Here’s howTo find spelling lists posted by your teacher, click on Find A List, search by “Teacher,” and enter your teacher’s first name or last name. - To test yourself for fun, choose a list from the Sample Lists , or look at other students’ spelling lists. Try searching on your grade level or favorite topic (e.g., soccer or ballet).
