Betsy Cowin, School Counselor (students A-L)

Email:  bkc@pcsd1.net Betsy is originally from St. Maries, Idaho and moved to Powell when she accepted the position of high school counselor in 2008.  Betsy graduated with her Master of Education in Counseling and Human Services from the University of Idaho.  Prior to working at Powell High School, she worked as office support for New Student Recruitment at Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho.  Outside of school, Betsy is a cook and baker (Betsy Crocker).  She spends her spare time with family, camping, and at the river in Idaho. 

Jeanie Stukey, School Counselor (students M-Z)

Jeanie Stukey (rhymes with cookie) is originally from Wasilla, Alaska and has been at Powell High School since 2008.  Jeanie graduated with her bachelor's degree from the University of Alaska, Fairbanks, and her Masters in Education: School Counseling from Montana State University, Billings.  Outside of school, she spends a lot of time with her husband, Royal, and her Jack Russell, Sadie.  In the summer you'll find her growing okra, soaking up sun, playing guitar, and riding her bike in the Peaks.

Cindy Jacobs, Counseling Office Secretary

Cindy is a hometown graduate of Powell High School.  She has served as the Counseling office secretary since August 2005.  Cindy is also one of the Student Council advisors.  She greets our students as they come through the Counseling office, and provides the valuable service of helping students keep organized with scholarships, transcripts, and college information.  If you need your transcript sent somewhere, let Cindy know!

Cindy is married with 2 grown daughters and a perfect grandson.  Outside of school, you may see Cindy clogging on stage.
