Welcome to the Ogle Music Room web page. Thank you for stopping by to visit!
Students attend music class once a week for 45 minutes as part of their Specials rotation. Lessons consist of singing, creative movement, playing instruments, reading and writing music notation, composition, and improvisation. We use the philosophies of Orff Schulwerk and Zoltan Kodaly to create a positive, encouraging, collaborative, and FUN music classroom. The music program encourages every child to explore their musical potential and learn to love and appreciate music. I believe each child should be given the opportunity to grow and succeed in this basic and natural means of human expression we call making music. It is my goal for your students to have a life-long love of music by the time they leave Ogle Elementary. Our music program at Ogle Elementary offers many opportunities for your students. Some highlights of our music program include:
