WELCOME BACK!!! I want to start by saying that Ogle has some of the most creative students I have ever come across and I am really looking forward to what they will wow me with this year. I hope that you will find the imforation on this website helpful. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. - Jennifer Johnson johnsjen@friscoisd.org  HOW IT WORKS! Your student will attend art once a week for forty-five minutes. We will cover a wide range of artists and art making techniques throught out the school year. Due to the short amount of time we have in the year we will only produce four to five artworks. Your student's artwork will stay in the art room through out the school year. Keeping student work allows me the opportunity to proudly display our artwork in the hallways. There are some occasions that I will send artwork home before the end of the year but most will be returned during the last few weeks of school.  KEEP IT CLEAN! As I mentioned before we use a wide variety of materials and techniques in art class. Many students are very concerned about keeping their clothing clean and hands clean during class. I recommend sending an apron/smock or old shirt to school with your student. While I cannot store these for them they are more than welcome to bring them to class to keep their clothing clean. If you are not sure of the day your student attends art please check the "class schedules" link on the site or feel free to contact me and I will send you that information. In an effort to keep everyone clean and safe I also have a strict policy of no playing with or misusing materials. This results in an OOPs! slip and loss of art making privlidges. 
TWICE IS NICE-Reuse and Recycle! We use a wide variety of materials including things that would normally be considered trash. We could use your help in collecting these items. We need clean, dry aluminum soda cans for one of our art centers. We also need flattened cereal and cracker boxes which we use for paper mache. I find that the cereal and cracker boxes are sturdy enough to handle the wet paper and the perfect size for what we are doing. Thanks to all those who donated last year!
