Meet the Team

Marcy Corley, Mathematics/Science

Hi! My name is Marcy Corley and this is my tenth year of teaching. I have been fortunate that all of the ten years I have taught have been in Frisco ISD with 5^th graders! I previously taught at Bright Elementary and began at Ogle Elementary when it opened in 2006. I grew up not far from here, in Garland, Texas and graduated high school from North Garland High School. I graduated college from the University of North Texas with a degree in Elementary Education, specializing in Math and Science. I currently just received my master's degree from Lamar University in Educational Administration. I have been married to my husband Kenny for 9 years. We have two busy boys, Brandt and Logan. Brandt is 7, he is in second grade at Ogle, and keeps me busy with his sports. Logan is 4, and definitely keeps me on my toes as well! When I am not at school, I spend most of my free time either at practices or games for the boys….but I love watching them and cheering them on! I am very excited to be able to teach each of your children this year.

Welcome to a new school year at Ogle! I am truly excited about working with you and your child in 5^th grade this year. I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself to you, and I look forward to getting to know you and your family in time. My family includes my husband, our two year old daughter and two dogs. Some of my favorite things are spending time with family, traveling near and far, and watching movies. I grew up in Carrollton, Texas and attended school there through high school. I attended the University of North Texas in Denton where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. I taught 5^th grade for five years in CFB ISD, and this will be my fifth year teaching 5^th grade in Frisco ISD. 5^th graders are a special group of people, and I look forward to working with you to ensure their academic success and prepare them for middle school.

Susan Burkett, Science/Writing

I am so excited to be starting my 20th year in teaching! Nineteen of those have been with 5th grade! Although my hometown is Enterprise, Alabama, I graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a major in Elementary Education. My husband Dennis and I moved to Frisco almost 6 years ago. We have 3 daughters, the oldest of which lives in Spain. She is expecting her first child in October. Our middle daughter has our other 2 grandchildren and live in Prosper. Our youngest daughter is currently studying education at UNT. Whenever I have a little free time, I love to spend it with my grandchildren. My other favorite things to do are quilting, baking, and watch Auburn University play football . I know this will be another great year at Ogle! I love teaching and will work with you to bring out the best in your child!

Kari Sharpe, Mathematics/Writing

Hi! My name is Kari Sharpe and I am thrilled to be here at Ogle Elementary. I started my teaching career 16 years ago in my hometown Plainview, TX after graduating from Texas Tech University. I have also taught in Ft Worth, Colleyville and The Woodlands. I spent the last 2 years teaching 5^th grade at Ashley Elementary right here in Frisco. Ogle is my home school and I am so excited to be with my son Kannon who will be in first grade this year. I also have a 3 year old daughter named Kallie. My husband Stephen and I have been married 11 years and live right here in Craig Ranch. I am so happy to be your child’s teacher and be a part of the Ogle family.
