We are so excited to get to know your children this year in second grade! We are all very passionate about teaching and inspiring young children. We believe that students deserve the opportunity to learn, explore ideas, and discover new concepts in a very safe and positive environment. We understand that students learn at different rates and have a variety of learning styles. It is our goal to meet the needs of every single student through whole group lessons, student exploration, differentiated instruction, extension activities, and small group instruction.

As your Second Grade Team, you can expect us to:

1. Nurture your child’s self-esteem.

2. Build a supportive relationship/partnership with you and your child.

3. Create a positive learning environment.

4. Provide guidance and examples for each student so that learning is maximized.

5. Encourage intrinsic motivation (doing something because it’s the right thing to do, not because you might “get something” for doing it).

We are extremely privileged to have the opportunity to work at such a wonderful school in such a fabulous school district! The staff and administration at Ogle Elementary are truly one of a kind! We are looking forward to an exciting year in second grade!
