Vocabulary Test is Monday due to the Reading Celebration!

Teacher Appreciation Week May 7-11

Genre of the Month project is due May 11th.

Field Trip to the Movies May 8th.  Please, make sure you have paid $11.50 by May 3rd.

Symphony Field Trip May 17th. This field trip is free of charge. Students will need to wear dress clothes.

Last Early Release of the year is May 23rd.

Long-range Goals for students in Mrs. Mays and Miss Self's Class

•  Master all basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts and be able to use those facts accurately when doing computation and problem solving.
• Learn to work cooperatively in groups and to sometimes take the leadership role.
•  Learn to speak in front of their peers with confidence.
• Learn to stay focused and bring written tasks to completion.
•  Produce writing that is on grade level that they are proud of creating.
• Take responsibility for one’s actions and words, treating everyone with respect.
• Learn to study independently, staying on task during class and while completing homework.
• Students will show evidence of comprehension while reading and can successfully retell a story as well as develop a love of reading.
