As you can see by the benchmark above, your child is in the process of learning to locate the fifty states and their capitals. We are learning the states by regions. By the end of they year, we should have this task accomplished. The will learn them by regions, but with each assessment will include all the states we have covered. In addition to the location and capital city, I am requiring them to learn the postal code. Postal codes are a real world application. There is an assortment of games on this page that your child can play to help them successfully learn this standard.
