Classroom Expectations

In order to have the best classroom environment and opportunity to learn, all students are expected to follow the Hoover code of conduct:
R2S3 - Respect and Responsibility (R2) for Self, School, and Society (S3)
In addition, students are expected to:
  1. Follow all rules and policies (including uniforms) outlined in the Hoover Middle School Handbook.
  2. Be in your seat, ready to learn when the bell rings (with all required materials out, and to immediately begin work when the bell rings).
  3. Take care of all personal needs (including restroom breaks) prior to entering the classroom. There is plenty of time during the passing periods to take care of this business.
  4. To be courteous and respectful of everyone on campus.
  5. To follow directions the first time they are given.
  6. There is no food, drink, or gum allowed in the classroom.

Classroom Discipline

If a student does not follow these rules, the following consequences will occur:
  • Verbal warning.
  • Student moved to another location in the classroom.
  • Detention after school in my classroom.
  • Call home and/or referral to the Assistant Principal, Discipline.
