Classroom ExpectationsIn order to have the best classroom environment and opportunity to learn, all students are expected to follow the Hoover code of conduct:
R2S3 - Respect and Responsibility (R2) for Self, School, and Society (S3)
In addition, students are expected to:
- Follow all rules and policies (including uniforms) outlined in the Hoover Middle School Handbook.
- Be in your seat, ready to learn when the bell rings (with all required materials out, and to immediately begin work when the bell rings).
- Take care of all personal needs (including restroom breaks) prior to entering the classroom. There is plenty of time during the passing periods to take care of this business.
- To be courteous and respectful of everyone on campus.
- To follow directions the first time they are given.
- There is no food, drink, or gum allowed in the classroom.
Classroom DisciplineIf a student does not follow these rules, the following consequences will occur:
Verbal warning.Student moved to another location in the classroom.Detention after school in my classroom.Call home and/or referral to the Assistant Principal, Discipline.
