CDP 2012-2013 Registration Dates & Information

2012-2013 Child Development & Preschool Registration

 Reminder:  All registration paperwork must be returned with a $50 registration fee per child.

Child Development Priority Registration:

• Priority registration is for:
• Families who are currently enrolled in the child development &/or preschool program.
• Families who currently have children enrolled in the program and have an incoming kindergarten student.
• Regular SUSD employees who need before/after school services for the next school year.

• DATES:
• Families may pick-up registration paperwork for Priority Registration on February 8, 2012.
• Priority Registration paperwork must be completed and returned to the Site Supervisor by 6:00 p.m. on February 14, 2011.
• If paperwork is not completed and returned by 6:00 p.m. on the 14^th, families will then need to wait until open registration on March 1, 2012.

Child Development Program Kindergarten Registration:

• Kindergarten registration is for:
• New families with incoming kindergarteners:
• DATES:
• Parents may complete a “Kindergarten Interest Card” beginning February 27^th and must be returned by 6:00 p.m. on March 2, 2012.
• A lottery for the open kindergarten slots will be held on March 8, 2012.
• After all open slots are filled; a wait list will be formed until all names have been drawn in the lottery.
• Parents will be notified on March 9, 2012 if their child has received a space in our program for kindergarten.
• Registration packets for all incoming kindergarten students must be completed and returned to the Site Supervisor by 6:00 p.m. on March 16, 2012. 
• If the completed paperwork is not received by the 16^th, the first family on the wait list will be contacted.  They will have 48 hours to complete and return the necessary registration materials.

Child Development Program Open Registration:

• Open registration is for:
• New families needing care before and/or after school for the 2012-2013 school year provided that the site where their child attends school has openings. 
• DATES:
• Open registration begins March 1, 2012 and will continue until each site is at capacity. This will vary from site to site.

Preschool Registration:

• Preschool registration is for:
• Families who have children that will be 4 years of age on or before October 1, 2012 and reside within the SUSD boundaries.  To attend Mountainview Fun for Fours you must live in the Mountainview Elementary School boundaries.
• DATES:

• Parents may complete a “Preschool Interest Card” beginning February 27, 2012 and must be returned by 6:00 p.m. on March 2, 2012.
• A lottery will be held on March 9, 2012 for the 24 preschool slots at each site.
• After all open slots are filled; a wait list will be formed until all names have been drawn in the lottery.
• Parents will be notified on March 9, 2012 if their child has received a space in the preschool program.
• Registration packets for all selected incoming preschool students must be completed and returned to the Site Supervisor by 6:00 p.m. on March 19, 2012. 

• If the completed paperwork is not received by the 19^th, the first family on the wait list will be contacted.  They will have 48 hours to complete and return the necessary registration materials.
