Reading:

In Reading, we are working on Literary elements of Expository Genre.  We will also be discussing the theme of different stories.  The theme is the "lesson" the author wants you to learn.  See if your child can compare and contrast two stories that they have read and see if they can tell you the theme of each one.  We will also be studying some Famous African Americans that have changed history.
