Communication
Communication will take place daily through your child's planner. Your child's teacher will note their good choices for the day through stickers, stamp, positive notation, etc. If your child's behavior did not follow grade/school expectations there will be a written explanation instead. Planners are expected to be signed nightly and returned the next day. This is also a good place for you to communicate to your child's teacher as needed!
Newsletter/website
Newsletters will be emailed to you and uploaded to the website every Monday. If you do not have email or access to the internet, a printed copy will be sent home with your child on Monday. Websites will also be updated on Monday.
Thursday Folders
Your child will be taking home a Thursday folder this year. This folder will contain school wide informational handouts, permission slips when necessary, and graded assignments.
Homework
Homework will be assigned Monday with a suggested timeline, and turned in completed on Friday. Your child is also required to read nightly to build fluency and practice skills addressed in class. Spelling tests will be given every Friday, therefore word work with the weekly spelling list should be done throughout the week as well.
Specials Information
Please make sure that your child wears or brings tennis shoes on their designated PE days so that they can comfortably participate in the activities planned. Thanks in advance!
