CLASSROOM HAPPENINGS We are in the middle of reading Ida B by Katherine Hannigan. This is a great story about a little girl who has to deal with some big family issues. Remember to ask your child about it!
Our winter edition of the Fortin Chronicles is in process! Students were assigned various segments to research and write about. Look for your copy the first week of February!
Lastly, each student has been assigned a Black American Research Project. The students should be working a little every night on this project. It is due February 9th.
Math lessons find us deep in geometry! We recently learned how to measure angles with a protractor and we designed our own deluxe pools for the Momot playground! These are proudly displayed outside the classroom. We are having a test on this unit Wednesday, January 27th. The students will have a math folder of materials to bring home to study from.
KNITTING CLUB I have started a recess time knitting club with 5 students. If you are interested in your child participating please let me know. Cost for the materials is about $8.00.
